What's been going on lately...
I am back in school working on my certification to be an Addiction Counselor.
I have been working really hard in the certificate program. I received a 4.0 and just received a letter notifying me that I have made the Dean's List! I am really proud of all my hardwork.
I have applied to graduate school and am waiting to hear whether or not I will be offered an interview. I am hopeful that I get an interview. I was not accepted back into my old Masters program and I was pretty butthurt about that. So I am definitely not getting my hopes up this time.
The kids have finished their first year at their new schools. We are officially parents to 8th, 7th, and 5th graders. Seriously?! Where has the time gone? One more year and we will be parents of a high schooler and all middle schoolers. Yikes!
Ball season is slowly winding to an end. This makes me sad. I love watching the herd play softball and baseball.
Once ball season is over, my Mister's half of the herd will be heading to spend some time with their mother. This is always so bittersweet for me. I hate that they have to go because they are my kids too and I love them and miss them so much when they're gone. However, I am happy for them that they get to spend time with their mom and family.
Bubs left 3 weeks ago to spend the summer with his dad. I miss him SO MUCH! I am supposed to get him back next weekend so he can play in the end of the season tournament. I cannot wait to see him. Bean's dad lives in the same state as we do, so she doesn't leave for weeks at a time anymore...or at least not as long as we are all living in the same state.
Speaking of the same state, the Mister will be promoting soon and reenlisting indefinitely so there are more moves in our future. I think I want to write a post about this in the future, as I'm having a tough time adjusting here (as it is my home) when I know that it's not permanent. I'm also getting antsy to move already. Heaven help me! I really need to just enjoy the time we have at this location.
My brother is having another baby this summer. I cannot wait to find out if Baby K is a boy or a girl and I cannot wait to meet them!
Half Pint is back from Kuwait for the summer. I love having her here, spending time with her, and hearing all about her adventures. I hope that one day I will get to go on at least one vacation with her!
I've made it a habit to go back to church and have been attending weekly for a couple of months now. I just love carving out that one hour a week for my relationship with God. Tonight's service was great and I felt the Holy Spirit move me.
Date night with the Mister happened tonight and it was great! We had dinner and then bought some tennis rackets so we can hit some balls this summer.
It has gotten really late, so I need to sleep. I WILL be back!
Until Next Time,
xoxo
